The National Arts Council aims to
provide a spectrum of development opportunities for practising artists to
embark on and deepen their engagement with communities in Singapore. This
includes providing opportunities for capacity building, and activating more
spaces for artists to encounter and engage with various communities and
community stakeholders. It is also about organising platforms which allow for
community artists to network, share best practices and learn from one another.

Let’s Connect! is a platform
organised by the National Arts Council for sharing of best practices, creating

stakeholders, place-owners, government agencies, Social Service Agencies, and
anyone else interested to use the arts to increase arts engagement and
Since 2010, NAC has been
organising Let’s Connect sessions for sharing of best practices in community
arts engagement, and developing networks among stakeholders.
In our continuous efforts to support
learning opportunities for young arts practitioners to become better acquainted
with community arts practices, NAC aims to identify partners who are able to
work with us to offer meaningful mentorship opportunities with a strong focus
on community arts engagement.
In 2017, the Community Arts
Mentorship Programme (CAMP) was initiated through a joint partnership between
NAC and LASALLE College of the Arts (McNally School of Fine Arts). Held over 3
cycles from 2017 to 2019, the mentorship programme was targeted at LASALLE’s
alumni to meaningfully expand their artistic practice and competencies through
hands-on learning and collaborative approaches.

and hosting such programmes with NAC, please contact Max_CHENG@nac.gov.sg.
